KIJAGUZO FAMILY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE Aid project in Uganda

Our mission at KIJAGUZO Family Development Initiatives in Uganda is to empower families to become self-reliant and self-sufficient. A major focus is on vocational training, especially for young people who cannot afford to go to school.

Originally launched in 2022, the project grew out of collaboration with supporters from Germany. The Covid 19 pandemic put many families in the Kijaguzo community in difficult situations. In the face of continuing challenges, we expanded the project in June 2023. Our focus is on sustainable initiatives that help families build sustainable livelihoods in the long term.

We advocate for boys, girls and women by providing them with vocational skills that contribute to the self-sufficiency of their families. Our efforts aim to strengthen this community and provide them with the tools needed to live independently.

The Kijaguzo community is located in the central part of Uganda, formerly known as the Luweero Triangle. This place was heavily affected by the liberation war after the Idi Amin era. The municipality has a population of around 70,000, mostly young people, many of whom have not had the chance to receive a school education. About 65% of the population have to get by on less than two euros a day.

Your donations play a crucial role in the realisation of our projects in Uganda. Together we can help improve people’s lives and give them a more hopeful future. Support our aid project in Uganda with your donations and become part of this important initiative for Africa!
